Been listening to some Thin Lizzy since getting home from work. Can it really be 29 years since the amazing Phil Lynott passed away.

First hearing him in Skid Row along with another Irish legend Gary Moore, and later a band called Orphanage, Phil Lynott eventually formed the now legendary Thin Lizzy hitting the UK charts with their rock version of the folk classic "Whisky in the Jar" reaching No. 6 and gaining a number 1 single back home in Ireland in 1972. But it would be another four years before they managed a follow up hit "The boys are back in town" in 1976. From then on they had a steady run of both hit single and albums.

Phil also had several solo hits and collaborations with his old mate Gary Moore.

So here are a few memories of  Phillip Parris Lynott.................
