So I'm still trawling through my singles collection busy cataloging as I go along and still only as far as the B's. Some great singles that have to be listened to as well as listed. The collection is nothing if not varied as this next batch will show. I hope people are enjoying listening to the tracks. Would be nice to get some kind of feedback.

B.E.F. featuring the late great Lalah Hathaway. A great cover of the Sly & The Family Stone classic. The British Electric Foundation was Martin Ware & Ian Craig Marsh, ex Human League and Heaven 17.

The Band Rag Mama Rag. Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm in fine form on this their greatest UK hit.

Bauhaus She's in parties was the bands farewell singles from 1983.

Bill Nelson's Be-Bop-Deluxe had several hits in the seventies, this one Maid in heaven was from 1975.

Big Country Fields of Fire (400 miles) from 1983. The sadly missed Stuart Adamson in his pomp on this live favourite. Saw the band a few times, best was at Rock City Nottingham.

Al David & Burt Bacharach's classic Anyone who had a heart was Cilla Black's first really big hit, after Love of the loved failed to set the charts on fire despite being written by Lennon & McCartney. Such a classic it still gets played on radio stations to this day.

Blancmange's third single came out in 1982 reaching #7 in the UK charts. Blancmange comprised the duo Neil Arthur on vocals & instrumentalist Stephen Luscombe.

Seventies pop glam rock from Barry Blue, real name Barry Green. Dancin' on a Saturday was the first of several hits that graced the UK charts, reaching #2. I remember playing this many many times at discos in Bilsthorpe, down at the Scout Hut, and in the old Church Hall and the Village Hall. Was a favourite for a good while.

That will do for today, more to follow soon.
