Continuing on from yesterday's post, here are a few more tunes from albums I got this Christmas.
The Alvin Lee album is a great live double album released originally in 1974. Sadly Alvin passed away last year, but left us a great legacy of musical recordings, both solo and as the main man with Ten Years After.
Paul Heaton and Jaqui Abbott formally released albums as The Beautiful South, this latest album is packed full of super pop songs, Paul Heaton is truly one of the great British songwriters.
The Eve Folk Recordings features song classic folk protest songs from the sixties, the original version of "The war drags on" by Mick Softley along side Donovan's version and also Mick Sofley's version of "The Bells of Rhymney"
Mrs Ackroyd Superstar is a reissue of some classic british folk humour from poet Les Barker featuring a string of folk artists, including Vin Garbutt, Pete Morton and Mike Harding. I couldn't find a track actually featured on the album on-line so have included a more recent Les Barker recording from 2012.
